MANTAS Confirmed For Japan's INDEPENDENCE D FESTIVAL

MANTAS, the new band featuring former VENOM guitarist Mantas, are the latest confirmed act for the first annual Independence D Festival, a three-day event set to take place March 11-13 at Studio Coast Shinkiba in Tokyo, Japan. MANTAS will share the main stage with LOUDNESS and the MISFITS on Sunday, March 13. Also scheduled to appear at the festival are CRISIS, DOPE, THINE EYES BLEED and VISIONS OF ATLANTIS, among other acts.

MANTAS' debut CD, "Zero Tolerance" is "currently running at the Number One spot in Japan's HMV chart shops, having sold over 10,000 copies in its first month" of release, according to a press release issued by the band's record label, Demolition Records.

As previously reported, MANTAS will be releasing a new six-song EP, entitled "Maximum Brutality", through Demolition Records via Universal distribution. No further information is currently available.
